Re: NetSecL OS 4.0 Released

Is there 32-bit version of new release?

Re: NetSecL OS 4.0 Released

No. But I can give you a link to version 3.0 which is 32 bit if you are interested?

Re: NetSecL OS 4.0 Released

No.I am only interested in new version because ealier vesion crashed after update(problem with mouse driver and graphic driver or gui and maybe keyboard driver).

Re: NetSecL OS 4.0 Released

Well. What will you use NetSecL for? Penetration testing or just an OS? I can easily create it for 32 bit, but the penetration tools are not easy to port - too much manual work. Do you need GrSecurity?

i don't need tools, a want grsec, SSP etc.
A priority  is kernel. I am too lazy to patching, configuring etc.
A think the rest people want pentest tools but they will  be satisfied with native 32bit tools.

Re: NetSecL OS 4.0 Released

Ok, I started working. But it will take some time to compile the kernel again, gcc and test it out.

Re: NetSecL OS 4.0 Released

Well I built it, but there are some issues with the kernel or the bootloader I will have to test further to see what the actuall issue is.

Re: NetSecL OS 4.0 Released

You can try this it's a cut down version without the penetration tools

Let me know how it works.

I've tested usb version.
Kernel without grsec is starting fine but when i'm trying to start grsec patched kernel while system is loading i have "no signal" message from monitor.
I've successly started kernel with grsec one time but i had to change flags with paxctl on firefox and soon system hang.
